About this test
Accumulation of DNA mutations occurs prior to the transformation from a normal cell into a cancerous cell. These genetic changes can determine the management of the disease.
In this test, using genome sequencing, the entire coding sequences of genes are analyzed (ATM, BRCA1, BRCA2, CDK12, CHEK2, PALB2, RAD51C). Both somatic and germinal variants can be found in this test, but it doesn’t differentiate one from the other. The result may be especially valuable for determining the most suitable therapy for patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) (ICD-10: C61).
To perform the test we need paraffine block with the cancer tissue and pathology slides made of this block or blood for cfDNA.
