Drug programs in Poland are reimbursed as part of treatment by the National Health Fund. In Drug Programs, patients can receive innovative medicinal therapies.

The content of each drug program is published as an appendix to the announcement of the Polish Minister of Health.

The program description includes:

• patient eligibility criteria for treatment;
• criteria for exclusion from the program;
• drug dosing schedule;
• method of drug administration;
• list of required diagnostic tests for qualifying the patient for the program and necessary to monitor the treatment.

Institutions implementing drug programs

Information on the health centers implementing individual therapies included in drug programs is available on the information website of the National Health Fund or is provided by employees of the National Health Fund.
