About this test
Some patients with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome have autoantibodies to the factor H (CFH). The main objective of the test is the assessment of the level of anti-CFH antibodies. The analysis of the level of antibodies is carried out by the enzyme immunoenzymatic ELISA method. IMPORTANT: Antibody testing requires blood (4ml of blood into one EDTA tube), freshly collected, not frozen, delivered the same day to the laboratory on working days by 4:00 p.m. If it is not possible to deliver a blood sample on the same day, centrifuge the sample, separate the plasma (300-500ul) into a separate tube, freeze and send by own transport on dry ice to the laboratory, making sure that the delivery will take place on a working day by 4 pm. Please contact us in advance to inform about the delivery of the sample.
